Frequently Asked Questions
DO ANTI WRINKLE INJECTIONS HURT?
The needles we use for the injections are extremely thin so you shouldn’t feel uncomfortable. Avoid wearing make-up,the skin needs to be as clinically clean as possible in order to avoid a potential infection.
WHAT AGE CAN I HAVE ANTI-WRINKLE TREATMENT?
You must be over 18 years of age. Most people start to have this treatment in the 30s or younger; starting earlier means that you are stopping the muscles that contract during the ageing process earlier; meaning you may reduce the formation of deeper lines in later life as the treatment prevents the skin from folding in. If you commence treatments later in life you may have deep lines the treatment therefore softens the areas rather than smooth them out completely.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I STOP HAVING THE TREATMENT?
The treatment will last 3 to 6 months, depending on the number of wrinkles that you have and your skin type. When you stop having treatment your muscles will revert to the original state of contraction and the lines will return.
WHO CAN PERFORM ANTI-WRINKLE RELAXING INJECTIONS?
This medication is prescribed, and therefore should only be administered by the insured Medical Professional who has prescribed it for you. An initial consultation is required for all patients to attend for the first time.
